Salaries in Syria
Hello,
I am doing some research on Syrian culture and would like some information on the salary level in Syria, specifically in the IT industry.
For example, what woulda computer programmer working in Syria reasonably expect to make? What is the most they could expect to make in Syria? Also, generally how does the salary rate in the Information Technology field in relation to other countries like UAE?
Thank you
Orum

Syriana
Has anyone seen this new George Clooney film, Syriana yet>
Is it worth seeing? Or a crock like The Perfect Storm was?

"Special rendition"
Sounds like something Pavarotti does for a private audience.
The yanks sure have a way with tall talk.

US Ambassador
This British Ambassador pal of George Bush's seems like a real bozo.

I have been trying to study Arabic in Australia but it is hard to find teachers where I live. Are there any short intensive courses (about 4 weeks), preferably in April or October? Is it possible to stay with Arabic speakers (eg a host family)? I am a middle aged female with work and family responsibilities, otherwise I would like to stay for longer. I was in Syria earlier this year and loved it.

You mean short courses in Syria?

I don't know, but would also be interested to know if such a course exists.  Am planning a visit to Syria for 2 months in October 2007.

Yes, I am looking for short courses in Syria. I understand that most of the courses are held in Damascus, but there may be some options in Haleb (Aleppo)?
